We redesigned the American Documentary website in Webflow, migrating thousands of films and educational resources into a flexible, modern platform that supports their mission and storytelling.
We’re documentary nerds, so when American Documentary (AmDoc) reached out, we were kind of starstruck. These are the folks behind POV, one of the longest-running showcases for independent nonfiction film in the country. Our job was to modernize AmDoc’s website and give their team the tools they needed to keep pace with the stories they champion. We migrated the site from a clunky custom build to a sleek, flexible Webflow platform, making it easier for their team to update content, share films, and engage their growing audience.
We migrated thousands of films and educational resources into a new system of reusable page templates designed for flexibility, accessibility, and visual storytelling. The redesigned site includes layouts for filmmaker bios, archive materials, community resources, and interactive viewer engagement. Built in Webflow, the new site is responsive, search-optimized, and future-friendly. This wasn’t just a tech upgrade. It was a love letter to the art of storytelling, powered by a platform that lets AmDoc keep telling stories without friction.
