Duties:
Analyze and manage web environment deployment, development, and maintenance both internally and externally for various business clients. Actively participate in development of websites for such clients on platforms including WordPress, CraftCMS, Shopify, and Webflow. Analyze business requirements and prepare detailed project specifications for projects with custom development requirements suited to various business needs. Develop customized clients’ Content Management System (i.e., custom plugins, writing API solutions and integrations, head-less solutions, Larval/Yii framework-based solution to run parallel to existing platforms and third-party integrations). Plan and implement complex content migrations across different platforms and architect custom CMS solutions according to specific client needs. Perform and oversee infrastructure-related tasks using Docker/Container Orchestration, Cloud Services AWS Cloud Products. Uphold CI/CD principles, conduct server provisioning, and enforce the best practices of version control. Prepare comprehensive Technical Specifications and Development Guides, create detailed Admin Guides, and conduct Client Walkthrough sessions to educate clients on new systems. Exhibit a strong sense of ownership and accountability by controlling both internal and outsourced projects from their beginning to their deployment, including the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase. Lead the recruitment of web development and engineering resources, ensuring their alignment with our development practices and standards and contribute regularly to the team's technical knowledgebase. Collaborate with Operations and Design stakeholders on first-party products, integrations, web-based technologies, and systems solutions as needed. Additionally, drive the recommendation and implementation of new technologies both internally and in project workflows to address specific business needs and stay up to date with industry trends.
Requirements:
Associate’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field plus 7 years of work experience as systems analyst or developer of web applications. Will also accept a Bachelor’s degree in the states fields plus 5 years of work experience in the stated positions. Prior work experience must include: Full-stack, front-end, and back-end development, including the use of modern web technologies such as modern JS and CSS framework/libraries including React and Vue.js, and back-end technologies such as Core PHP, Laravel, Yii framework, MySQL and PostgreSQL databases; Working with CraftCMS, Shopify, Webflow, and WordPress, including the creation of custom plugins/modules, and writing API and integration solutions for these platforms; Planning and implementing complex content migrations across different platforms and architecting custom content management and content distribution solutions according to specific business needs; Architecting scalable and secure Content Management System solutions for high-traffic websites; Infrastructure-related tasks using Docker/Container Orchestration, and other Cloud Services and Deployment tools; Preparing comprehensive Technical Specifications and Development Guides and training clients on the same; and, Client-facing User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
