Fort Point is a San Fran-based beer company known for balanced, approachable brews accompanied by an equally candid vibe. Soon after their inaugural launch, Fort Point had already expanded their presence into restaurant and beer halls all across the Bay Area, becoming a household name at everyone’s local hangout. Business was booming and beer was flowing.
Then the pandemic hit. Then it was time to pivot. Luckily, you can find the Paper Tiger team yelling, “PIVOT” on repeat.
To better serve Fort Point customers during lockdown, we set out to launch a direct to consumer digital taproom, a beer delivery service available anywhere in California. But we had to be fast, so we put down our pints and got to work. We merged their CMS with a new Shopify interface, preserving both style and speed while eliminating the need for a whole new store build (cutting dev time in half, for reference.)
A fraction of the time and cost later, Fort Point was selling six-packs, half-racks, and merch not only in the Bay Area, but statewide, boosting revenues and future-proofing their business model. We’ll drink to that.
